This unforgettable 2-hour guided paddle takes you through dark, sheltered waters in Brentwood Bay, BC - where every paddle stroke sparks a dazzling blue-green glow beneath your board. The phenomenon is called bioluminescence, caused by microscopic organisms that light up when disturbed. It’s nature’s version of a light show - mysterious, rare, and breathtaking.

Your expert guide will lead you along a calm, beginner-friendly route while sharing the science and stories behind the glowing creatures of the Salish Sea. Whether you’re a curious first-timer or an experienced paddler, this tour offers a one-of-a-kind connection to the ocean.

Perfect for nature lovers, couples, friends, and anyone craving a peaceful yet awe-inspiring adventure. Must feel comfortable paddling on a stand up paddleboard.

  • Waterproof lights - but be sure to BRING YOUR OWN HEADLAMPS for prep and landing in the dark.

What to Bring

  • Warm, quick-dry layers (synthetic or merino preferred)

  • Water shoes or sandals that stay on
  • A sense of awe and adventure!


Requirements

  • Ages 16+ 

  • Must be comfortable paddling and balancing on a board

  • Ability to follow safety instructions in a low-light environment

  • No prior SUP experience needed - this tour is beginner-friendly
