Join our Navigation and Touring Workshops Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. to learn about tides, currents, charts, wind, and waves, and how to safely paddle your coastal environments. Hands on and interactive approach ensures you have time to practice and ask questions.
We start:
- 6:00 pm at our Paddle & Ocean Shop at 9704 Third Street, Sidney, BC
We end:
- 8:00 pm
- How to read charts and maps
- Tides and currents
- Planning paddle routes
- Assessing conditions before and during your paddle
- Weather forcasting and how to deal with unexpected weather events
- Tools for trip planning.
