Join our Navigation and Touring Workshops every Thursday at 7 p.m. to learn about tides, currents, charts, wind, and waves, and how to safely paddle your coastal environments.

We start:

• 7:00 pm at our Ocean & Paddle Shop 9704 Third Street, Sidney, BC

We end:

• 9:00 pm 
• The group may do dryland sessions at the shop if weather conditions require it. You will be emailed or called 24 hours prior if this happens.

• How to understand Universal Transverse Mercator
• Planning paddle routes
• Assess conditions before and during your paddle
• Weather forcasting and how to deal with unexpected weather events
• Reading tidal charts

Details

• We provide Paddleboard, paddle, pfd, and leash so it's easy to pop down after work and get on the water without worrying about organizing your own gear.

• Bringing your own is OK too, if that's your preference.
